Just in time for the terrific weather, Good Food Here is pleased to welcome Herb’s Mac and Cheese and the Cart with No Name and is happy to welcome back 50 Licks after a long ice-cream free winter. Herb’s Mac and Cheese makes…you guessed it…awesome mac and cheese with tons of topping options. The Cart with No Name serves up grilled steak or chicken sandwiches and wraps and an awesome grilled PB & J (or PB & Chocolate!). Good Food Here would like to welcome The Honey Pot! Sweet pies, savory pies, hand pies, pot pies, whole pies, slices of pie–You want pie? The Honey Pot has pie! The Honey Pot is also available for special orders, events and catering.

You’ll normally find 3-4 savory pies and 3-4 sweet pies each day and the selection changes often.

Mardi Gras ’12 at Good Food Here

Good Food Here carts will be celebrating Mardi Gras this year from Thurs, Feb 16th – Fat Tuesday, Feb 21st. Stop by for some Fried Rock Shrimp Po Boys at Lardo, Lamb Gumbo or a Cajun Andouille Lefse Wrap from Viking Soul Food, or some Chicken Cordon Blu from Cackalack’s and cajun-style fries. Enjoy it with some chicory coffee or a cafe au lait from Da Pressed and finish it off with a fresh beignet from Etta. We’ll see you at the carts!

Congrats to our own Kir Jensen of The Sugar Cube for her 2011 Portland Rising Star award! As the writers at starchefs.com explained, “ Jensen crafts desserts you could serve in the most high fallutin’ restaurant from the modest space of a tiny food cart kitchen—and with one assistant. Just the presentations alone are impressive. Her elegant plating—with vintage china and flatware—blew us away.”
